I always enjoy reading others’ advice about screencasting. Today, I came across a post from earlier this week from Under the Raedar called My Rules of Screencasting.  I especially like finding advice that agrees with my own, and from his list of seven points, I’ll fully support 1,2 , 3, 5, and 6, at least. Here’s my abbreviated summary of the list of seven:

  1. Sound interesting but do not speak too fast
  2. Record the screen at sensible size
  3. Publish in Flash
  4. Use a good microphone
  5. Go easy on the ‘special effects’
  6. Plan but don’t script
  7. Aim for a standard format

Thanks for commenting! Over the last 18 months I’ve just been learning by doing and following the blogs and looking at how others work. And now I’ve found your blog. Will keep checking up to see what you’re up to in future. Hello from Liverpool.
